Wish I could have coasted through this life

Not broken any hearts not been part of any strife

Not had my heart broken not been beholden to any wife

Not been tied down to a deadend job not feel feelings so rife

Wish I could have coasted through this life

Wish I didn’t have to take a stand, fight the fight

Had a restful sleep now all through the night

Didn’t know what was wrong or assert what was right

Had a thicker skin, didn’t feel each and every slight
