parents don’t have any answers for me

i feel i have to fight all alone

give up, and expect that you

will clean up after them

and they once did for you

relationships are funny in how they turn

into pained hearts and tears to burn

how parents turn old

and you get bold

and tell them what they should do

in return they resent you
