walls

i can hear them fighting again

through the walls

they are thin

but they hold her in

when she is alone she cries

as she tries

to make her way through

life

i can’t help you

i have a family too

i think they have started

fighting again

her relationship needs righting

or a bullet in the head

why carry on as if it is not dead

she is alone

as am i

but i don’t cry

or try, like her,

to move on.
